Welcome to the Commercial Arts Training College (CATC) website.

This website has been designed to give prospective students information on the courses currently available for study at the college. CATC was first established in 1982 and is one of Australia’s leading private training providers in Graphic Design, Interior Decoration and Design and Multimedia with campuses in Brisbane, Melbourne and Surfers Paradise. The Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses are Nationally Recognised, registered withDET(Department of Employment and Training), AUSTUDY approved, Industry Recognised and articulate to University.

With a fantastic Industry reputation CATC continues to aid students in finding positions not only with multinational companies like IKEA, Billabong and Walt Disney, but also local business such as Power Pacific, Basis Advertising and Robertsons.

Our current and past students are also well known throughout the Design Industry for the many awards that they have won. CATC has recently seen our students win a range of competitions such as:

• Finalist for Vocational Student of the Year, Queensland Training Awards - Brisbane 2007.
• Finalist for Vocational Student of the Year, Queensland Training Awards - Gold Coast 2006.
• The Design Institute of Australia’s “Interior Decoration Student of the Year Award” in 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2002.
• The Design Graphics Magazine “Cover of the Year” in 2004”.
• Gold Coast Tourism Logo Competition in 2004; and
• The redesign of Runaway Bay Sports Super Centres childcare logo in 2005.
